CST Studio Suite – Electromagnetic Simulation for SOLIDWORKS Design Teams

October 8 @ 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Join Technical Solution Consultant Jim Reed for an overview presentation into SolidWorks’ new partner in Electromagnetic (EM) simulation, CST Studio Suite (CST).  CST is a world class simulation tool that spans 25 solvers for a broad scope of design space, including static/low frequency solvers for high power and motor design, high frequency for connector and antenna design, PCB solvers for large multilayer layouts, multiphysics solvers for thermal and fluid calculations, and more.

Who Should Attend:

SolidWorks users who collaborate with electrical design teams for wireless or PCB solutions, as well as invited electrical design team members who currently use or would benefit from EM simulation tools.

What you will learn:

  • Overview of Solving Capability in CST: Simulation software solutions are often spread amongst an array of products with varying degrees of integration.  This adds complexity in training and adoption, as well as increased costs.  The integration of solver capability in a single user interface at a single base package price separates CST Studio Suite uniquely from the competition, both from a utility perspective as well as affordability.
  • Examples and Industries for Electromagnetic Design: CST has been adopted across many industries including High Tech, Aerospace, Automotive, Energy, Medical, and more for designs varying for antenna/wireless, connector and PCB, as well as EMI/EMC compliance for FCC regulations.
  • Benefits of 3D EM Simulation: Return on investment is quickly realized from higher quality designs, better understanding the design space and environmental effects, manufacturing tolerances and influences, and reduced time to market.
  • Integration with SolidWorks for Seamless Collaboration: With the built in collaboration between SolidWorks and CST, now SolidWorks models can be generated with pass through parameters into CST for bidirectional SolidWorks native file editing.
  • Licensing Options: Whether you work in a locally shared network, multidisciplinary cloud environment, or prefer a pay-as-you-work model for client billing, CST has broad licensing flexibility for your needs.
